• Goal 7 – Environmental Sustainability – This goal aims to reduce by half the proportion of people without sustainable access to safe drinking water. Friends of Londiani are committed to contributing to the achievement of this MDG.

The Bethel Children's Home is located in Londiani, Kenya. It was here that the first team of Irish people went to in 2002 to complete various service projects.

The home has 70 orphans aged between 3 months and 18 years of age. Some of the orphans will have been abandoned, for some their mother has died in childbirth, and many of them are AIDS orphans.

Friends of Londiani, Ireland supports the upkeep and running of the home in Londiani, and is committed to assisting with the education of the children in the home.

The cost of running the home, feeding the children and providing education for them is approximately €50,000 per year.
