Photos from Kenya This page contains links to albums of photos from Kenya taken during the visit of FOL Directors to Kenya in March 2008. These photos show some of the destruction and devastation that has affected Londiani and its surrounding villages. Each desserted or burnt out building was home to a family, each person has their own story of how this has affected them. FOL is confident that the resourcefulness and commitment of the local people will endure. FOL has deep admiration for the committees and community leaders who have taken on the mantle of this atrocity and are bringing communities back together. IDP's is the term used to describe people who have been forced to leave their homes as a result of or in order to avoid the effects of armed conflict, situations of generalised violence, violations of human rights or natural or human-made disasters. The only difference between IDP's and refugees is that IDP's have not crossed an international border. |
