Welcome to Harambee 2007 Harambee 2007 is the most recent cross-country community development project organised by Friends of Londiani. 86 volunteers from all over Ireland traveled to Kenya between June and September 2007 to complete a number of tasks. The mission of Harambee 2007 was to work together with the people of Lelsothet, Benditai and Ndubusat to make positive changes in terms of health, education, water supply and food in their community, and to develop and enrich our own skills and cultural awareness. All team members attended 3 training weekends in Ireland before heading to Kenya on the project. They were trained in many different aspects of the project such as Culture, Health, Education, Water, Building, HIV/AIDS, Medical. All members of the team raised €250,000 to complete all projects in Harambee 2007.
